How to Use JTAG Connection

About the JTAG Connection

The JTAG connection is only use for reinstall the OS on the sign when it is damaged by accident and no longer responses to communication commands.
The JTAG connection is not provided as a common connection, and no JTAG jack can be found outside the sign's case. You can find it on the mainboard of the sign.

To use the JTAG connection, you need to:

Step 1. Using a ByteBlaster cable to connect the LPT port (on PC) and the JTAG port (on the sign's mainboard).

Go to How to Make Cables.

Step 2. Install the DriverLINX Port IO Driver.

Run port95nt.exe in the software folder.

Step 3. Setup the Communication, and set the COM port to JTAG.
