Setup The Communication

Select menu Comm|Setup Comm.

Setup For RS232/RS422/Modem

COM Port

The com port such as COM1,COM2,... Choose from the drop list boxor enter a name directory.

Sign Address

The sign address who can receive messages and response. Enter a value from 0 to 255. A zero value means that all signs in the same group can receive messages and do not response.

Sign Group

The group of signs who can receive messages and response. Enter a value from 0 to 255. A zero value means that all signs with the same address can receive messages and do not response.

Baud Rate

Select the communication speed. You can try a lower speed or use RS422 interface instead of RS232 if the connection distance is long and communication often timeout.

Dial Modem Enter the phone number and click the Dial or Hung Up button.

Setup For TCP/IP Connection

Choose TCPIP for COM Port.
Sign Address

The sign address who can receive messages and response. Enter a value from 0 to 255. A zero value means that all signs in the same group can receive messages and do not response.

Sign Group

The group of signs who can receive messages and response. Enter a value from 0 to 255. A zero value means that all signs with the same address can receive messages and do not response.

Remote Host The host name of the TCP/IP receiver. It must be a TCP server such as NetJet, which is a TCP/IP to RS232 converting box. See also Config NetJet.
Remote Port The service port of the TCP/IP-RS232 adapter.
